Frequently Asked Questions

Is there an appropriate time to do hair transplant surgery?

You can undergo a hair transplant at any time during the year, but we advise you take careful note of the post-operative instructions, because they may affect your daily life, e.g. activity restrictions after the procedure. In summer, especially in the first 7 or 10 days after the surgery, you should avoid swimming and your skin should not be exposed to sunlight.

The harmful effects of UV lights on the skin is very well known, especially after a surgery with stitches. But that would not much be the case with a hairy skin of head. Even in cold winter days you will not be able to wear a hat or a cap after the procedure, because it may damage the transplanted area on the head and cause hair loss. The period it takes to undergo hair transplant surgery is 3 or 5 days, which you have to take off from work and take a break from your daily routines.

Whenever you undergo hair transplant treatment, it is necessary to consider and follow the medical instructions so that the transplanted area on the head does not get damaged.

If the patient suffers from low self esteem due to the hair loss, is unhappy with his appearance, if the hair loss has become a problem for the patient, then he/she should consider undergoing a hair transplant surgery.

We can not estimate when hair loss finally comes to an end, for that reason this would mean that the patient should wait a long time, until all the hair fall out. This long time could cause displeasure and this situation can make the patient unhappy.
